This awesome long tube header package combines a set of Kooks 1-3/4″ x 3″ long tube headers that can lead to massive amounts of horsepower and torque for your 2015- Mustang GT and comes with a pair of high-flow catalytic converters that keep drone and rasp minimal. The kit drops right into place of your GT’s factory manifolds and mid-pipe and is designed to install with your stock cat-back system or a Kooks stock-replacement cat-back exhaust kit. With this kit’s required custom tuning, your Mustang will be making huge power gains over stock all while getting one of the most ferocious and impressive exhaust notes on the planet.
304 Stainless Steel Headers with 1-3/4″ Primaries and 3″ Collectors
The basis of this package is Kooks’ long tube headers which are far more efficient at getting exhaust gasses out of your Pony’s 5.0L V8 than the stock header manifolds. These headers come packing 1-3/4″ diameter primary tubes that are each mandrel-bent to ensure smooth exhaust outflow from your engine’s exhaust ports with minimal back pressure. The 1-3/4″ diameter primaries are perfect for powerful naturally-aspirated Mustangs going for a full bolt-on build. The primary tubes lead down into a huge 3″ collector assembly that quickly and efficiently shuttles gasses down into the lead pipes and catalytic converters to help generate big power gains. The header assemblies include forward oxygen sensor bungs and have thick, heavy-duty flanges for bolting on to your 2015-2020 Mustang GT’s 5.0L Coyote V8. The headers are made out of high-quality 304 stainless steel so that they won’t let you down no matter your climate or application.
Features Two High-Flow Catalytic Converters
Once exhaust gasses are out of the headers, they pass into the Kooks lead pipes which come standard with a Kooks high-flow catalytic converter on each side. These high-flow cats clean up some of the drone and rasp that’s common with off-road header systems, giving your Mustang a deep rumble without some of the nastiness. After the converters, the lead pipes have a step-down flange for connecting to your Mustang’s factory cat-back system or a stock-replacement cat-back kit. Just like the headers, the lead pipes and catalytic converters are made out of 304 stainless steel.
